Vector of Alienation is an ambitious S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl mod built on Oblivion Lost Remake (OLR). While staying true to OLR's goal of restoring and reimagining the game's original vision described in early development, it removes OLR's bloat to deliver a raw, atmospheric experience.
You'll navigate a desolate Zone with fully overhauled environments, few but key NPCs, dangerous mutants, and a bleak story that ends in three heavy, alternate endings. The gameplay emphasizes slow, methodical survival. Ammo is scarce, gear is costly, and every artifact matters, making exploration and decision-making meaningful.
Shorter and more stable than the OLR version it's based upon, Vector of Alienation is deeply immersive, and the perfect entry point for players seeking an authentic, grim S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience.

Download & Installation
Installation Instructions
Extract Archive, move game folder to the root of your drive
Avoid installing in "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)", especially on Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10
Launch XR_3DA.exe in the bin folder
(optional) Run JSGME.exe and add addons you want
(optional) Add the Vector Weapon Pack
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Crash at new game start: Simply reload the save created automatically on startup.
- Lag on entering labs: Stand still and wait for assets to load (can take up to a couple minutes). Looking at the ceiling helps.
- Crash when entering certain areas (rare): Reload earlier save and try again, if you’re still crashing check the README
